What we see depends on the nature of the mixture to start with and whether the new substances mix (forming a solution, for example) or separate.

	If they separate, the new substance could be in any of the states, depending on the hold between particles and the temperature.
	If they mix, we can not tell what state each of the new substances would be in when on its own.
