Think for yourself questions
‘The animation shows only a few particles and
these are nitrogen and oxygen. Why?’
Because 99% of the air is nitrogen
or oxygen. You would need to be able to see a lot more particles
in the ‘window’ before you would expect to see
a particle of argon or carbon dioxide amongst them.
‘Which particles are the oxygen particles? How
did you decide?’
The ovals are oxygen particles and
the crosses are nitrogen particles; air is roughly 78% nitrogen
21% oxygen so if you can see more of one shape that will be
the nitrogen.
