Pages R1.3 to R1.5 provide summary diagrams for the three
factors affecting rate of evaporation. For the surface area
and temperature , you might ask students to compare the number
of high energy water particles at the surface in each case;
for temperature, you could also ask students to compare the
number of high energy air particles in each case.
