B1.3 THE PARTICLES OF ONE SUBSTANCE ARE ALL THE SAME

The particles of one substance are different from the particles of another substance. We are using different shapes to show different substances. The particles hold on to each other – the ‘holding power’ is different for different substances.

We will use line thickness to show the holding power. The thicker the line, the stronger the hold. Which particles have the greater holding power - wax or salt?
