In
mixtures that are solutions, the solute particles don't stay
together - the solute loses its original state.
In some mixtures, however, the particles stay in small
clumps with their own kind. These 'bits' are still in their
original state. This means that we will have a mixture of
two substances, each in their original states.
Samples of these types of mixture do not show the clear
characteristics of one state.
