I3.1: CAN A SAMPLE IN THE GAS STATE DISSOLVE IN WATER?
LINKS
A bubble is a sample of a substance in the gas state surrounded by liquid water.

Using the particle theory:

A sample in the gas state could dissolve if the particles making the bubble mix in with the water particles. The bubble would then disappear.

The animation represents a ‘time lapse’ sequence of snapshots, showing this happening.
