Notes on the video of methane burning
Students should be able to suggest that

the flame is a chemical reaction ( this time between methane and the oxygen of the air);
we know there is methane left at the end because the bag has not collapsed.

After viewing the ignition of methane in real time, go back and use the controls to watch the flame appear frame
by frame for both the splint and the hot wire.
By pausing the video at appropriate times, you should draw attention to the following points:

the flame starts high up (because this is where the methane has mixed with the oxygen)
the flame goes out from the bottom upwards when a bell jar is placed over the top
condensation forms on the inside of the bell jar.
